What is Dino Specials?

Dino Specials is a free community program that places a "Today's Specials" chalkboard, complete with our friendly dinosaur mascot, inside local restaurants in Vernal, UT and the Uintah Basin, at no cost to the restaurant. We feature your specials on our social pages, our daily newsletter, and our home page feed so hungry locals find you. Local non-food businesses don't get a board; they can buy affordable ad space on those same boards. A restaurant that doesn't want outside ads can self-sponsor its board for $120/month. Those ads and sponsorships are what keep Dino Specials free for restaurants.

Yes. Dino Specials is 100% free for restaurants. We place the chalkboard and mascot standee at no cost, and you keep 100% of your specials. There is no catch and no contract; the chalkboard just earns you more walk-ins while we feature your specials on our social pages and newsletter.

What if I don't want other companies' ads on my restaurant's board?＋

Restaurants can self-sponsor their board for $120/month to keep outside ads off it. With self-sponsorship, the board stays entirely yours and you still get the free daily promotion on our social pages, newsletter, and website.

I'm not a restaurant. Can I get my own Dino Specials board?＋

No. Dino Specials boards are only placed inside restaurants. Local non-food businesses qualify for ad space on a restaurant's board, not a board of their own. Pricing is affordable and available on request.

How often do specials get posted?＋

We post fresh specials daily. Restaurants send their specials whenever they change, and we share them across our home page feed, the daily newsletter, and our Facebook and Instagram, usually the same day.

What does the newsletter reach look like?＋

The Dino Specials newsletter goes out daily to local subscribers across Vernal and the Uintah Basin who want to know where today's food deals are. Each issue features the current specials on the boards, so your restaurant or ad gets seen by hungry locals every morning.
